1.There should not be a tall house at the southwest corner outside the courtyard (within 10 to 40 meters). This is called the “White Tiger Smiling Sha.” If the “White Tiger Smiling Sha” is present, the family will constantly have coffins at home.
2.There should not be tall buildings on either side of the courtyard within 10 meters. This is called “two houses pinching.” If a house is “pinched by two houses,” it harbors the hidden disaster of burying children. Within three years, two people may die, and descendants may be imprisoned.
3.The main house of one’s own home should not be lower than the main houses on either side. If it is lower, it is called “double bullying the master.” If a house is “double bullied,” the family’s wealth will be depleted, and there will be weeping. Within two years, there will be sick people in the family, and within five years, the family may suffer casualties.
4.The main house of one’s own home should not be higher than the main houses on either side. This is called “coffin cover house,” which harms the husband and suppresses the master. There will be no master to protect the wife and children, and disasters may occur.
5.The courtyard wall of one’s own home should not be too high. The height of the wall should not exceed the eaves of the auxiliary rooms. If the wall is higher than the auxiliary rooms, the family may have members who are imprisoned, which is called a “prison house,” or the family may be poor. Official luck will be blocked, and achievements will be limited, which is called an “over-the-top courtyard.”
6.Houses should not be built within about 50 meters in front of a temple or behind a shrine, as this may lead to the destruction of the family and loss of life.
7. Within 10 to 20 meters of the southwest corner of the residence, there should not be a tall bridge. The presence of a bridge is highly inauspicious, which is called “White Tiger Probing.” A road to the west and a bridge to the southwest will torment the descendants.
8. A large pit behind the residence is ominous and will not lead to prosperity, and the third child may fall ill. If the residence is backed by a major road, the husband may not live long.
9.A residence that is wider at the back and narrower at the front, with the narrow part being one-third of the width, is an inauspicious house, called a “dagger house,” which may harm children.
10. The foundation of the residence should not be exposed, which is called a “bone-exposing house,” leading to poverty and bad luck for the family.
11.In front of the residence, the ground should not be raised too high. If the middle is high and the water in front of the door flows in two directions, this is called “divided body water,” which may lead to the lack of offspring.
12.If there is a small path from the Gen direction to the Kun direction at the northeast corner of the house, the family may have thieves. If it is a major road, there may be members who are imprisoned.
13. If there are roads in front of or behind the residence that form a reverse bow shape, there may be unchaste women or men eloping.
14. If there is a tall bridge or major road more than 50 meters away from the southeast corner of the residence, the family will surely have influential members. A road to the east and a bridge to the Xun direction will bring joy to the descendants for generations.
15.If there is a mulberry tree within 100 meters of the southwest corner of the residence, it is highly auspicious, and the daughter-in-law will enter the home on her own.
16. Living at the corner where a major road or a small road meets is highly inauspicious, and over time, natural disasters and man-made calamities may occur.
17.A major road or a small road rushing towards the main door of the residence is highly inauspicious.
18.Building a residence at the intersection of a T-junction is highly inauspicious.
19.If two houses have their main doors facing each other, the lower one will be unfavorable. If the east and west main doors face each other, in the year of the Rabbit or the Rooster, one of the families may suffer a disaster; if the north and south main doors face each other, in the year of the Horse or the Rat, one of the families may encounter a disaster within two years.
20. Living on the site of a former school is inauspicious and will not produce talented individuals.
21. Living on a site where grain has been threshed leads to poverty and lack of prosperity.
22.A broken house in the residence is inauspicious.
23.A residence surrounded by roads on all four sides is inauspicious, as is being surrounded by roads on three sides.
24.A well in the Gen direction of the residence may lead to the depletion of the family and the end of the lineage.
25.A depression in the southeast may lead to the early death of women; a depression in the southwest may lead to the arrival of a stepmother; a depression in the northeast may lead to promiscuity between men and women; a depression in the northwest may lead to the husband’s moral decay.
26.Within 50 meters outside the courtyard, square ponds should not be dug. If there is a square pond in front of the house, generations will suffer from hard work. One pond may be used as a burial site for one person.
27.The south of the residence is suitable for having a grove of bamboo, 10 to 20 meters away from the door. Such a family will surely be wealthy and produce educated and talented individuals. A bamboo grove in the south is truly auspicious, and the residence will surely produce fine young men. With silk and satin, true wealth and nobility, each generation will be stronger than the last.
28.If there is a water flow at the northeast corner of the residence, as long as the water keeps flowing in the Gen direction, the descendants of the family will face endless disasters.
29.Trees should not penetrate the sunshade of the residence, which is called “hanging mourning on top.” This may lead to chest pain and minor injuries in the family.
