I dare say that the vast majority of people nowadays have a misconception about the term “inner strength.” They tend to think that if a person has been hurt a few times and doesn’t easily get emotional, can control their emotions, and doesn’t easily admit defeat, then they are strong. Let me tell you, such an understanding is very one-sided. I believe that inner strength should be about having love and a sense of security. The ability to provide oneself with emotional nourishment is a necessary condition for a truly strong inner self.
Let me tell you, I’ve dealt with many clients in my consultations. After getting to know them, you’ll realize that some people have a child living inside them. This child lacks a sense of security and is unable to provide themselves with the psychological nourishment they need. Since they don’t have it themselves, they try to obtain it from others. This turns them into an infant constantly searching for a bottle, relying on the nourishment provided by others to survive.
What I want to tell everyone is that a person with inner strength has a strong ability to bounce back. No one’s life is a smooth journey. If you’re easily discouraged by difficulties, it shows that your inner self is still fragile and hasn’t truly matured; your inner child hasn’t grown up yet. If you have a strong ability to recover and can make changes according to the situation to solve the problems at hand when faced with difficulties, then I’m telling you, no matter what setbacks you encounter, you can face them head-on. This is a manifestation of inner strength. And living out the best version of oneself under any circumstances and conditions is also a sign of inner strength.
